I am an Soviet and Russian camera collector residing in State of Illinois, USA. I have only somewhat recently started collecting (since May 2007) these fine examples of Soviet and Russian mechanical engineering and design that until late 80s have been closed off to the rest of the world. Now that these cameras have come to light, I want to share them with all of you. Recently I have decided to start cataloging Soviet and Russian cameras online, thus the USSRPhoto.com project was born, which is a Wiki catalog of Russian and Soviet cameras.

Wiki Catalog Entry
This is a very interesting camera as it is in effect the first miniature 16mm single lens reflex. 70% of all Narciss cameras were produced in 1964 so this is the most common year by far. Some cameras had a plate on the rear with a warning engraved on it.
.
The top is engraved directly over the lens with Narciss, in either Cyrillic or Roman and red filled. These cameras were originally packaged with case, film cassettes and a developing spool. The package also included a special lens adapter that functioned as an extension tube or to adapt m42 lenses for use on the Narciss.
