I am an Soviet and Russian camera collector residing in State of Illinois, USA. I have only somewhat recently started collecting (since May 2007) these fine examples of Soviet and Russian mechanical engineering and design that until late 80s have been closed off to the rest of the world. Now that these cameras have come to light, I want to share them with all of you. Recently I have decided to start cataloging Soviet and Russian cameras online, thus the USSRPhoto.com project was born, which is a Wiki catalog of Russian and Soviet cameras.

Wiki Catalog Entry
This is a Zorki C encased in what looks like a almost 4-5mm steel body. The purpose of this camera still remains unclear, although the person I bought it from had stated it is for attachment to a telescope or a medical equipment.

The back plate can be taken off by unscrewing 2 large bolts and swiveling them to the side. The frame mask is very unusual it is 14x14mm. The camera looks like it that it still takes 35mm perforated film but the film advance teeth were ground off except for 2 on top and bottom of it, maybe for the purpose of only advancing it 14mm..

The front lens opening is just a large rounded rectangular gaping hole with holes for 6 screws around it for mounting to some kind of device.
