I am an Soviet and Russian camera collector residing in State of Illinois, USA. I have only somewhat recently started collecting (since May 2007) these fine examples of Soviet and Russian mechanical engineering and design that until late 80s have been closed off to the rest of the world. Now that these cameras have come to light, I want to share them with all of you. Recently I have decided to start cataloging Soviet and Russian cameras online, thus the USSRPhoto.com project was born, which is a Wiki catalog of Russian and Soviet cameras. 1/20, 1/30, 1/40, 1/60, 1/100, 1/200, 1/500 and Z.

Old style shutter knob.

The first samples till #223.000 have brass shutter crates.
The following ones are made of alloy.

Serial #210033 has a passport from Kharkov, dated 10/VII/1948.

Serial number range: #210.000 to 300.000 .

IMPORTANT NOTE: FED-1f DOES NOT have a PC Sync socket.
The pictured camera has an aftermarket modification.
