Alexander,
Thank you very much..
I did not notice at first the coverring was blue!!!!! Due maybe to my age.........
But I was really surprised about quality of the body. I have several other Sport in my collection and none in such a shape.....
Low serial number too....

Fred,
I mean the covering. I have also one in dark green (s/n 16119). It looks fascinating, but... Before we don't find any papers to prove existence of such cameras, they are only painted ones .

Regards, Alexander

One good thing about Westlicht, the photos from previous auctions can still be seen, you only need to find the lots and auctions.

Fred,
this Sport seems to be in excellent condition, but it was unfortunately repainted in blue (may be also refurbished). The leather covering is not original.
Such new recovering on WestLicht we have seen already on Gelveta some years ago.

There were a lot of desirable cameras...
TSVVS and so on...
About left hand copy, I bid on this camera but auction increased too much quickly for me..
Not a Leica copy, but you surrely noticed the quality of the Sport? (#431)

Yes. I remember my surprise when I saw it on the Princelle for the first time. Just in imagination, the mechanism inside... What a work!

Yes, Alexander.
It's why I answered the question, too. I really wonder how this famous seller can propose such a phantasy camera...

Jacques.

Jacques,
you are right,it is no fair to discuss it before the end of auction, but if it is obviously a "fantasy item" it is fair to point it.

That's just a phantasy, special, but not so special to pay so much money for it.
A very usual lens from 1954.
A Zorki/Fed mix with Zorki-C wind knob, Fed frame counter, Fed rewind clutch lever, Fed Vulcanite, Zorki bottom plate and so on and on.
It's amazing how Westlicht describes a fake, "almost unkown from 1957".

That said, as it is written, it's a Leica copy made from Russian parts... It's not the first, not the worst I've ever seen!

Amitiés. Jacqueq.
