Hi, have noticed a number of early Kiev III's on Ebay at the moment, at least two (1952 and 1953 models)have meters calibrated in DIN (Zeiss components?)
The majority seem to have 'A' serial numbers, there are two 1955 cameras, one (555422)has the 'A' whilst the other (557133) has the 'Made in USSR' type engraving. All the later 55nnnn's seem to have the 'Made in USSR' engravings whilst those prior to 557133 have an 'A'. Understand this is but a small sample and it is dangerous to draw conclusions but would be interesting to see if some pattern on the use of 'b', 'A' and 'Made in USSR' can be established from known correct serial numbers?

Cheers, Steve
