Can someone explain quickly to me what's the difference between these:

Horizon...
S3 Pro
S3 Sport
S3 U-500
Perfekt

? I can never tell what sets them apart besides the name? different speeds? Different lenses? Any good link where all these are compared?

thanks,
Vlad

Hi David,

thanks for that explanation! I was confused in subtle differences mainly between the S3 models, this makes perfect sense!

Best regards,
Vlad

Hi Vlad,

The S3 Pro has two rotation speeds:
1/30, 1/60, 1/125 and 1/250 on fast rotate, and
1 sec, 1/2, 1/4 and 1/8 on slow rotate.
The S3 Sport has a single fast rotation speed:
1/60, 1/125, 1/250 and 1/500.
The S3-500 has two rotation speeds:
1/60, 1/125, 1/250 and 1/500 on fast rotate, and
1/2, 1/4 and 1/8 on slow rotate.
The Perfect is the same as the S3 Pro, but the lens is marked as an MC Industar f/2.8 28mm, whereas the S3 cameras have an MC MG f/2.8 28mm lens.
The Kompakt has the same lens as the Perfect and has two rotation speeds: 1/60 on fast rotate and 1/2 on slow rotate.
I do not know whether the Industar and MG lenses are the same.
I hope this helps.

David.
