Hi Juhani,

It is still hard to imagine where did you find all those vintage Chinese cameras? They must be quite rare outside China.
I managed to find some extremely rare Chinese lenses that were used by Chinese military and professionals.

Your article on communist professional SLRs is very informative.

Kind Regards

Zhang

Hello Alain,

I am pleased to meet you too. I posted a long thread on rangefinder forum, did you see it? There are some interesting Chinese optical toys. Please let me know what you are interested, and I will see if I can help.

Kind Regards,

Zhang

Hello everyone,

Many thanks for your warm welcome. I have learned a lot from Bill in the past about rare Russian cameras, and I hope to learn more from all of you too in the future.

Steve,Thanks for your comments. I first combined Russian cameras with Russian watches, and then branched out to vintage Chinese watches. When Russian cameras became harder to find about two years ago, I picked up a Russian Almaz watch( an improved Soviet version of the famous Zenith 135), and started from there.

Ian, You flatter me.(about the hero)

Cheers,

Zhang

Great Zhang!
Welcome! I had acompained your posts on Chinese equipment in the FSU forum, and love your comments and pictures. Chinese cameras and equipment are also part of this fascinating Universe. Be our Master and show them all! I have a special love to "Zhi Chin Chang" the "Reflex FED 2".
Salute!

Hi Zhang,
As a fellow newbie, Welcome !!
I had read many of your threads through most of the "other" Russian camera groups. You have quite an interesting collection. What I really enjoy is how you have combined your interests in both the FSU equipment and vintage Chinese Wrist Watches.

We look forward to sharing info with you.

Regards,
Steve

Hallo Zhang!

That's a very flattering thought, Vlad! I might add that there is no-one who knows more about Chinese cameras than Zhang - he is indeed a hero!

Cheers, Ian

Welcome Zhang!

It is great to have a member from China!! I am truly honored to have you here. I was always fascinated by Chinese versions of Soviet cameras, maybe you can shed some light in some of the discussions we will have about them!

Man.. with all these members registering from all over the world it feels like the first half of the Magnificent Seven movie :).

Vlad.
