It's a while since I signed in mainly because retirement has decimated funds for toys.
My laptop died a while ago, and I have just been able to get my photos, but no correspondence rescued from the hard drive to a recent I-mac.
My Yahoo account with much discussion has been cleared as well.

I noticed that Mike in Ukraine is selling up and moving, so I braved Facebook to ask after my hybrid Kiev IIIa/Kiev 4 top plate/meter/controls.
I was surprised how comforting it is to have the triplets in Kiev 4 profile-

1936 Contax body+1957 Kiev 4
1956 Kiev IIIa + 1957 Kiev 4 .
1957 Kiev 4 , unmolested .

My ASdee likes continuity and 'set' of Contax/KneB and dual script, from the beginning to 1957, [ and beyond with my later Kiev 4s which lack the plain meter cover of these three cameras.]
Somehow the Kiev 4 looks balanced to me, and I was always fascinated by selenium meters.

OK, not great to mess with Kontax, maybe, but dealers in the ex-USSR perform equally weird operations on unsuspecting cameras LOL.

Pics to follow, could someone remind me of how to post photos?

Regards dee
