With the preponderance of cameras for spares - it may not be beyond the realms of possibility that FSU classic cameras may outlast supposedly better cameras !!

You may well be right dee, it is already happening.

I've a small working collection of FSU's and bits and pieces which is slowly growing.

I sometimes think should I sell my other GDR / German SLR cameras and just stick with my FSU's, but it's a hard choice and the prices they go for is so low.
