Hi!
I was wondering what were the cameras used before the start of Konvas production (1965)?
I have here a cine lens made by GOMZ in 1960 (but produced since 50's). That's why I came to this question.

Here is the lens btw, adapted to photography :

And sample with this lens on A7 :

The first mass-produced cameras from KC-1 from LENKINAP.

Maybe this link will help, use google translate

As far as I read the two Soviet cine cameras before Konvas-1 were Soyuz KKS and Khronikon. I believe Konvas-1 is 1939.

I would really like to know that too. Just because 35mm film was used for cine purposes before it became popular for photograpy. And if the Soviets build their own, they must have developed optics for it.

Great portait btw!

It covers way more than super 35. I read that it cover 60mm.

I don't know the answer. The result looks excellent. Cine optics were often made to a higher professional standard. Does your lens cover full 35mm frame? Could it be a 70mm movie lens?
