Posted - Oct 09 2019 : 06:49:48 AM Hello Alexey
It was absolutly no disappointment for me, I'm just wondering. It's always interesting to see this pairs of s/n. Because I have just one of this FED-1b series here on the desk I saw the differences on *both* pictures. That's why I wrote my comment.
Best wishes - Guido

Posted - Oct 09 2019 : 06:37:03 AM Greetings Guido! You are absolutely right about the late slide at camera No. 10124! But I do not set myself the task in this section of the complete authenticity of the camera parts. I just show the neighboring numbers I found ... I'm sorry if I disappointed you! :))) Good mood, Alexey! |

Posted - Oct 09 2019 : 06:20:35 AM Hello Levonsa
On the #10924 the accessesories shoe is a newer one and the time wheel on the #10925 remember me of the one from a later Zorki. Who can verify?
Best wishes - Guido

Posted - Sep 24 2019 : 05:44:31 AM Thanks, Alexey. Very interesting with those rare beige Jena Contaxes. That gave me the idea to check my data to research possible other twins. I have found two other couples:
- the body 27961 with the Sonnar 3104780 - the body 27962 with the Sonnar 3104781 and - the body 27975 with the Sonnar 3104775 - the body 27976 with the Sonnar 3104776
all that, painted in beige at Jena.
Certainly, it was not done on purpose by the factory, rather the fact that there was only a small number of lenses available in the batch, by my data.
Amitiés. Jacques. |

Posted - Jun 12 2019 : 11:27:10 AM Levonsa, I've just done a search for info about the make and model of the TLR that you posted on Jan. 6. 19 and I was wondering id the apertures and spepds can be set separately even though they are linked? This would be like 3 cameras that I own (which are 35mm rangefinders but they're not Russian so I won't name them). |

Posted - Oct 15 2018 : 11:03:38 AM Thanks once more, Alexey. Really a very interesting thread. That makes think of the number of cameras made before WW2, compared to those which remain now. For the 1800 Red Flags, for example, how many are still "alive"?

Posted - Feb 08 2018 : 09:46:30 AM Ha, ha! When I saw your post, Alexey, I rushed to my board, but the Fed 1a s/n 4642 is always here! We already discussed about this camera here. http://ussrphoto.com/Forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=2002
For me, it's a mix Fed/Leica, with a Leica shutter box. All that was re-chromed together: the chrome is homogeneous and finer than on the other pre production prewar cameras. As for the lens, a mix again with the body of an Elmar and the optics from a Fed (position of the diaphragm). Really, much work: the owner was attached to this camera.
