This site actually shows a real Nippon Leica copy.

Sure I will! But it won't be "covered" by the McKeown...

To be serious, I think that the upper Nicca, on the McKeown page, is certainly genuine: correct cover, good finder window shape, and plausible serial number. By what I know!
On the lower one (which was just bought), a Fed shape for the window, a serial number which is unknown. Above all, a "B" mark under the rewind lever which denotes a Russian product. And other details.

Sorry for the owner, even if I am not a Nicca specialist. Of course, there can be original Nicca parts, in this camera. The lens, for example, cannot be a Fed's. My Nicca-Fed contains original Nicca parts too: cover, rangefinder and baseplate. But I paid 50 times less for it...

Jacques.

Just a pure gift at this price, 4400€...
I offer my Nicca-Fed for half this sum. Normal: it's a Nicca, not a Nippon II

It is amazing how you can confuse a signature viewfinder "curving" frame on a Nicca with a straight one on a FED .. it's a dead giveaway
Jacques M. Posted - Sep 28 2016 : 08:29:28 AM

Yes, a late 1c or a 1d (position of the central screw, no pin on the accessory shoe and probably no screw under the rewind button).
The rewind lever comes from a Fed too (with B under it, instead of R on Leicas).

No certitude concerning the mechanism. Probably a Fed's...

Amitiés. Jacques.

Yes, this is FED 1c, the vulcanite is from postwar Leica. I don't see rewind knob it seems to be from Leica too.
What is the lever (you have to set it at "R" in Leica when you want re rewind a film) from ?

The serial number is more realistic as well on the Mc Keown. But always fake...
And the one on Team Breker is really badly done.

Here is a site with some genuine ones: http://corsopolaris.net/supercameras/nicca/nicca.html

Amitiés. Jacques.

... and I think exact this fact is the reason for this fantastic auction price.
Maybe they are doing business together?

Nevertheless it is rather strange for me. I know this Auction Team Breker for some time and they seems to be very professional. Some time ago it was not possible to buy on Breker's online, exclusively personally in Cologne.

Indeed, a FED 1c .. someone is going to be very upset...

What's even more interesting this exact camera (seems like it) is in the McKeown's 12th edition. Same one from a FED.

A good fake from FED
Teh lens is the Industar 22 by judging the meter scale the front is redone with a new ring, reengraved andhas a reducer for the neyw aperture.
That is my veredict.
