Happy Holidays everyone! Just wanted to share my favorite additions this year to the collection. Feel free to make a bouquet of your own of what your favorites were for this year, I would love to see that!
In total I added around 170 cameras or so, but these are the ones I was the most excited about!

About the Fed-Zorki, it's the s/n 04374.
My other Kardon, with a 90mm Wollensak and a VIOOH/Imarect finder, both made by Leitz New York and correct for the camera. Always a civilian one. Sorry, I could not resist!

There are two different sorts of Kardons. The "civilian" ones, with normal buttons. And the "military" ones, with much bigger buttons, so that being used with gloves, and a plaque of the US corps on the back. They are said to bear very cold temperatures: sorts of Leica IIIc K?
Note that Peter Kardon was an Ukrainian immigrant who joined the USA at the end of the XIXth century and decided to help his new country in the fourties. We are not very far from the cameras we are fond of...

But Kardons I saw in internet have much bigger advance knob. Here advance knob is like in FED I or Zorki I. |

I thought so for a long time as well, but then collectors started finding more of these, this is an actual variation of this camera, for some strange reason. And they are not selling for more money than regular Smenas.. so I don't know... collectors consensus for now is that there are official.

Thank you. And a very crazy version. Wonder why they did make so many of these cosmetic versions of the "2"-model. The camera would certainly have sold as well without them in the USSR, and production changes don't need cosmetics to change.

Sean, I don't use any anymore, I used to but it's the collecting aspect that interests me, I treat my cameras like museum pieces.

Ulrich, yeah the Revue took me a while to find too, it was also not cheap . Those are fairly rare.. I am still missing the 6-element version..

Nice, I think there are a lot rare cameras, like the Kiiv 4, the renamed Zenits and others. I also own a Revue Auto RS, was hard to find :-)

I found many interesting (for me) lenses this year.
Recently I got some lenses to complet the KT-87 "T" family with Mir-1T, Mir-10T, Era-1T, Era-4T, Tair-45T and Tair-48T (I added some on them in the wiki catalog recently). Since they are pretty rare (or very expensive on ebay), I was pleased to get them.
From another family, I was also pleased to find an Helios-40T.
This summer, I went to Ukraine and brought back a rare MTO 350 (and an early MTO 500 (56003).
In category of the classics that are not easy to find, I got a Variozenitar-K 25-45mm, a APO Telezenitar 135mm, and I found yesterday an APO Telezenitar 300mm.
In category of the unknowns, I recently got for St Petersburg a set of 2 TV lenses, supposably made by GOMZ (my own analyse), named OT-3 135/3 and OT-4 200/4. Also I found in Ukraine (more precisely from the garden of someone) a set of 3 lenses, made by GOMZ in 1950 (serial 550001), still unknown what is was for.
In category of "good for collection but not usable", I got this year an Orion-1M (big heavy aerial lens) and an Era-21T (tiny lens).

The only FSU thing I bought this year was a Jupiter 8 (from 1963), but as I've forgotten how to add photos, at present I won't be able to add any. I have used it for the last few frames of the first film I put through my fed 2 (from 1965), that I bought last year which came with an Industar 61ld. I decided on the J8 as it gives wider range of apertures to compensate a little bit for the slightly narrower range of shutter speeds tha I'm used to.
