Remarkable ingenuity!!!
I wonder if you have any detail about history of this camera?
Perhaps name of the master? Where and when it was made? Details of the constriction?
This kind cameras I love to collect!

This camera was too expensive to produce and too expensive in the stores, the Soviet industry's moto was always to make simpler more affordable cameras... also don't forget they stopped production in '64 on this one, exposure meters were a luxury on cameras back then.

If only KMZ put such camera for production, even in 80th, it would be one of the best cameras of the time.
I always ask myself why someone at the kitchen table can do such modification and mighty Soviet industry could not?
Probably something in the air….

Hi Okynek,

no unfortunately I do not have any details, the best information that I have is that this camera most likely comes from Kharkov, and may have been modified there.
