Hi Jacques!

Molotok is owned by a South African holding company Naspers and is also a part of Allegro Group (Naspers holdings). The site has not been as profitable as owner had wanted it to be and basically profits were just enough to pay off the loans that Naspers had gotten to fund the project to start with. They've finally decided to close the shop. Naspers also owns Avito which is more profitable so they have moved their interest into that site since that site had increased revenue by 80% in 2014.
