I have got today 4 very interesting advs. of the soviet cameras for the USSR section on the Brussels Universal and International Exhibition 1958. One of them was Sputnik-2. It is the first official adv. of Sputnik-2 I have ever seen .
Another three were Smena-2, Junost and Moskva-5.

Alexander, thank you for the post! It's a quite interesting brochure, I've never seen it before. the only other time Sputnik-2 was mentioned was in the Soviet catalog of photo-cameras, I think I've posted it in forum before and there it was a picture of Sputnik-1 though. This is an illustration vs actual photograph of the camera, which is quite interesting, because someone showed a picture of possibly real Sputnik-2 and it had the top just like Neva TLR.. so this is quite puzzling. .
Cheers, Vlad. |

Hi Alexander,
very nice find, thanks a lot for posting here! I know about the existance of at least 2 different leaflets of prototype Sputnik-2, second one was issued for domestic exibition (see picture below). Could I ask you for quality scans of Sputnik-2, Smena-2 and Junost leaflets, please? I do possess a prototype version of Junost camera and this camera is totally different in comparison with regular one. You should find such a version on your Junost leaflet, I'm absolutely sure . My e-mail is admin@sovietcams.com. Thanks in advance!
