What size lens hood does the Fed 50mm 2.0 lens for the Fed S camera take?

You should be able to use the Leica Summar lens hood SOOMP, but I guess a variety of 36mm hoods should fit.

You might want to take a look here:

Thanks everyone, I have a extra Fed a-36 hood that black rubber/plastic one so I will be set when my lens shows up in two weeks. I only hope the front lens element is not too badly marked. Now all I need to do is win the lottery and find a Fed 28mm f 4.5 or one of those 50 Macro lenses.
I have a Fed 50 3.5, Fed 100mm f 6.3 1st version with the pins and now a Fed 50mm 2.0, I use them on a Ricoh GXR with the A12 M module. I had a harder time finding two of the A-36 push on lens hood then the lenses, everyone had the a-37 style for the rigid 50mm f3.5 lenses.
I got lucky with the 100mm it was clean and the focus is smooth, the only issue is the F stop ring has just a tiny bit of wobble too it. The 50mm 3.5 I just had to take apart and clean and relube the focusing mount. I have more fun using my old Russian lenses then with my M lenses, all my leica friends think I am crazy.

Bill, the Fed 28mm f 4.5 is not as rare many people believe, I have 2 now.
Just check ebay regularly, they sell for about 300-400$.

If your lens needs some repair you can send it to Yuri from fedka.com
I've had all my lenses cleaned and collimated for my FED-S camera, they work great now.

Could you please add the serial numbers of your FED lenses to the wiki - or post them here?

Regards,
Chris

Chris,

I have listed the 100mm f 6.3 and I will list the 50 mm 2.0 as soon as I receive it. I have used Fedka before he is very good to buy from, I have not used him for repairs will keep that in mind. I like to tinker with things myself first but I am not crazy and take my time and if I cannot figure it out I leave it alone. I never want to make anything worse.

Thanks
wbill
