I was offered a 3K 50/1.5 s/n 49xxxx. I wonder if this is a rare lens, and how much I should pay for it? My impression is that it is much less ofen seen than the 50/2 version.
I have one - s/n 50XXXXX. Only hundreds made each year until 1950, I believe. I wouldn't buy unless close examination is ok in agreement with the seller, I suspect most aren't genuine.
Mine is also in poor condition - dings, scratches... It still takes great pictures. 50 USD is a bargain even with defects. If genuine I would buy that one :) Best, jed
