Sokol 2
1977-1986

The only difference this camera appears to have from the Sokol-1 is the addition of a hot shoe and deletion of flash receptacles. This camera was manufactured from 1977. The case for this camera is made of black or brown leather with a plastic lens cover that has LOMO in raised letters. There is a rare version with the "Mark of best quality" on a little plate inset into the top next to the cable release. (source: http://www.commiecameras.com/sov/electroniccameras/index.htm)

Despite strange reputation, this camera arguably is the most advance Rangefinder camera produced in USSR. It often overlooked. And by personal experience and opinions from other users it make really good pictures. I really did not hear single bad word about this camera from anyone who truly used it.
