Kharkov Developing Tank

The Kharkov developing tank is a daylight loading tank for 35 mm film. The cassette of film is placed in the small compartment at one end, and the end of the film is attached to the core of the spiral. The lid is replaced and the film is wound into the spiral by rotating the knob on the side of the tank. A scale on the side indicates that 12, 24 or 36 exposures have been loaded and the film can be cut using the sliding blade at the end of the tank.
