It seems that I am the very first person to receive this amazing book outside of authors and publishers according to H. Keith Melton who I've corresponded with this evening along with our friend and long time forum member co-author of the book, Detlev Vreisleben.

I have to say I am blown away by the quality of the print, amazing illustrations and the marvels of unheard of spy camera models inside. The sheer amount of work performed here is staggering, if you haven't gotten your copy yet, I suggest you do so immediately as you will be incredibly pleased!

The colors and stories inside are so vivid, I could not put it down! Especially the section about never heard of before GRU cameras as those were designed and manufactured completely separate from KGB ones!

Below are the official press release and some photos of the pages from the book posted with permission of the authors, as well as links to two sources where you can buy it.

And it was a great pleasure and surprise to find our site mentioned in the book as well (photo below)!

And I am not going to post photos of more exclusive content here, you'll just going to have to get this book .

This book can be bought at Amazon and directly with Schiffer Publishing:

Got my copy today. Can not comment much on the content, but will surely read it, a lot of detailed work there.
Top notch print quality.

Hello,
I did receive this book last week. I do highly recommend it to anyone interested in Soviet cameras, or simply USSR history, or even just espionage !
Yes, high quality printing, some illustrations are really funny in checking the box of clichés about KGB ways (in fact quite simply those of any and all secret service agencies.... but legends are legends).
Just buy it !
