Hello,

Just got a Fed Nkvd today. Inside the leather case there's Something stamped. I can read a date '1938'. But no idea of the meaning of the words. Any help would be very appreciated !
Jean

First stamp:
"NKLP SSSR" mean "people's commissariat of light industry USSR"(light industry ministry).
"F-KA KOJANNYKH IZDELIY" mean "factory of leather good's"
Second stamp"
"OTK-10" mean "quality control Dept-10" and year of pass OTK-10 (1941).

This one clearly readable, previous was not so clear...

Hi Jean, that word is "Кожобъединение"/"Kozhobedinenie" (something like "leather association" in russian). As far as i know, Kozhobedinenie was a factory in Moscow during the late 1920-s and till the end of 1930-s.
