Hello to all,

recently this nice camera arrived here:

According to Aidas site it's PM1720, a green 'Youth Festival 1957' version of the engraved Zorki 4. He writes that only a few of these cameras are known to exist. Does anybody know how much were made? I have never seen one before.

Hi Ulrich, this is first time I see one for sale besides Aidas's site. It's very interesting that he calls it a festival edition, because I have the festival one and it's not color covering.

Speaking of Festival editions, KMZ lists a Zorki-3C as one of the cameras engraved with "Festivalniy", anyone ever saw it?

Vlad, I also have the engraved version of the "Festival" camera, years ago I got it from Aidas :-) By the way, my green one has serial number 5711408, my engraved one has 5747959. Yours in in between. The numbers spread really wide, about 37000. The lens of the green one is not original, I got it without a lens. But deep in the closet will be a 1957 J-8 I hope.

And no, I have never seen a Zorki 3C with "Festival" engraving. It would be nice to have one. One is listed in the "1200 cameras" book.

Alexey, nice. So we know about 3 real existing green covered Zorki 4, yours, the one from Aidas' site and mine.

Vlad, I have made an entry for the camera in the Wiki catalogue. But the table for the known cameras looks a bit strange :-) How can I change the background color?

I simplified it, the tables don't work too well because of the black site background...
