Posted - Apr 07 2009 : 05:36:17 AM hi all... do not worry about it : I just received to day , some free example of Lubitel's book from Lomography : A nice book, writed in english, with many images realized with Lubitel camera (something like a 22x22 cm , square size photo album whith a very hard cover) but which is rather rudimentary concerning the technique and the history of Lubitels.(it's a pity !!)
However you can admire a magnificent portrait of our friend Luiz and additionally I ... Alain |

Posted - Apr 12 2009 : 9:57:51 PM So I've read the book in its entirety, I gotta say, as far as Lubitel goes this is very in-depth work in terms of technical and art approach to the subject. I couldn't have done it better, great job Michael Kuhle!! And it was AWESOME to see Alain and Luiz in the book, very very cool!! And thanks to Michael for the mention of my name and the website in Credits section, I was mighty proud! First time I got into some kind of book ehhehehe...
Excellent book overall, highly recommend for anyone who wants complete information about Lubitel cameras. Also a very very high quality print, will make an excellent coffee table book with great photography and interesting information for collectors.
And I did find a camera variation in there I have never seen before in my collecting, who have seen this before? how rare is this? Is this authentic?
The following scan is (C) Lomographic society from the "Lubitel+ Love from waist level" book.
