Posted - Oct 16 2009 : 10:06:34 AM I finally tackled replacing the shutter in my Zorki. I ordered a shutter kit which a Ukranian seller had on Ebay. It arrived a week after I paid for it, but the envelope sat on my shelf for a month before I motivated myself to work on the camera.
I was a little worried that I might make a mistake (I have no experience repairing cameras), or misplace some parts, but the installation when surprisingly well. I haven't adjusted the shutter speeds yet, but the "B" setting is functioning, and the shutter speeds don't seem to be far off.
Tomorrow I'll adjust the shutter speeds and load a roll of film, hopefully the weather will cooperate, and I'll get a few good pictures.
If anyone needs help, or has questions about replacing the shutter in their Zorki or FED, feel free to ask.
