Posted - Nov 07 2009 : 3:57:43 PM Well, on the hunt again...
I've won an auction which shows blurry picture of a Revue 4 (the Foto Quelle version of the FED 4) together with a Jupiter 11. The camera arrives today. What should I say, it's a Revue 4 that looks as if you have bought it yesterday, really amazing. Everything works fine, even the lightmeter shows correct values, the ERC has no signs of use and the Jupiter 11 seems to be unused.
Together with the camera I got the instruction booklet, the papers and the bill from 1973 :-) A really nice set, I think I'll keep it even if the space in my vitrine gets low :-)
By the way, the price (149,- German Mark, about 75 Euros today for the camera and 24,75 Mark for the case(!!)) was a lot for that time - 36 years ago. The price I've payed now was about for one packet of cigarettes...
Just take a look:

Posted - Nov 08 2009 : 2:14:44 PM Juhani, yes, they are insolvent now. Since 1.11. they have a selloff of all articles they have. Then Quelle is history :-(

Posted - Nov 08 2009 : 08:08:32 AM Jacques, yes that's the best of it :-) Now I have an idea with number corresponds to a year when it was built or even sold. But I don't know how long the Revue cameras have been in the Quelle store until they were sold...

Posted - Nov 08 2009 : 07:49:56 AM Hi Ulrich! Congrats for this beautiful Revue 4, 1st serie. Your original papers are very helpful to have an idea of correspondances between serial numbers and dates. It's always very complex after the first series of Fed 3 and 4. Perhaps you could add that in the wiki?
Amitiés. Jacques. |
