Can anyone suggest a good place/person to repair/overhaul/service my Zenit APK? preferably in Europe/UK- electrics seem fine it meters ok but there is a problem with the linkage to the lens in the K-mount which causes it to jam the shutter sometimes. Any help appreciated

Samsung GX-10,too many Russian Lenses, A lot of Zenits, an Almaz 103 a few Yashica, and finally a Minox35GT

Thanks David but alas I posted the APK to Oleg this very morning! Still its always useful to have another contact especially for the later Zenits. I don't mind working on the earlier ones but I am a bit wary of the later types with electrics and such. Thanks again and I wonder if he knows his way around an Almaz? Mine is still ok but you never know...

Hi Richard,

You could try contacting Roger Lean. He was employed for twenty-five years as a camera mechanic by Technical and Optical Equipment Ltd. He now repairs some Soviet-made cameras in his spare time. He has repaired a number of cameras for me and his workmanship is excellent. He is based in Hornsey, London. He doesn't have an email address, but you could try giving him a ring on 0208 881 5208.

David
