Posted - Jan 22 2010 : 10:36:57 AM I was hoping that our new reference book, '1200 Cameras from the USSR' might through some light on the LOMO FKM-1. Unfortunately, it doesn't tell us any more than we already knew. Film transport is motorised using the connections on the front of the camera. Presumably, only two of these terminals are required for that, so is the third terminal for opening/closing the flap shutter? The threaded socket below the terminals enable a long-reaching cable release to do that. What kind of optical system or lens is normally fitted to the 42mm screw mount? Finally, there is a disk on the base-plate of the camera that is marked from 1 to 130 GOST, are these a range of slow film speeds? Is this just a film speed reminder disk? If anyone can answer any of these questions, I would be most interested to hear.
