Hello,

today a nice Jupiter 11A 4/135 in black arrives here. It's for M42 screw mount. I have never seen one before. How often were they built? Serial number starts with 77, so it seems to be from 1977. Manufacturer is KOMZ.

Thanks. As said, I have never seen one. I have the silver J-11 (the "hand granade"), a 135mm Tair and the J-37A, but have never had a black J-11A :-)

I have one too, s/n 77xxxx. It has the closest focusing distance of about 1 meter, while Jupiter 37A focus down to 1.2 meter.Earlier silver version focus down to 1.4 meter.:)

Lot of them about, good lens nice and sharp, mine is 1974. It was replaced by Jupiter 37A, all apparently made by Komz and the end is interchangeable for m-39, m-42, nikon f and pentax k, mine is currently fitted with m-39 end for my early zenits

Samsung GX-10,too many Russian Lenses, A lot of Zenits, an Almaz 103 a few Yashica, and finally a Minox35GT
