Maybe it could be a user modification rather than a "fake" made to fool anyone that it is some rare sort of Yunkor. Probably you may know and it could depend on where and when you bought it (and how much you paid).
My idea is that maybe the Yunkor front plate was from a damaged camera and put on this Pouva Start by a Soviet user so that the camera would look more "Soviet", rather than foreign or German. Just a guess or idea.

Your "Yunkor with a folding finder" is the camera "Pouva Start" from 1952 ( see the page http://www.zenitcamera.com/archive/juncor/index.html for reference) but with a front label from Juncor (or Yunkor). So: a fake... ;)

Posted - Jun 20 2010 : 11:45:53 AM Jay, I have never seen the folding viewfinder Yunkor!!! Thank you very much for posting it, how interesting! Would you mind creating a Wiki entry for it so it's not lost in the forum? It'll be great if you have something that is not already in the catalog, just feel free to add it in there.
