Posted - Apr 22 2011 : 8:57:14 PM Very very funny indeed. Recently I bought a new Chinese Lubitel 166 and want to say that very little or almost nothing has from the previous Russian models The only compatible points are the shape and a faithful reproduction from the old shutter. The taking optics are now SUPERIOR! although retaining the original T22 name Its formula is derived from East Germany "Novonar" instead of the original T22 derived from Stuttgart Contessa Nettel's "Nettar" with better image coverage. The new taking lens of completely new design is a front doublet focusing triplet. this new arrangement propiciates continous focusing to 0.8m instead of the 1.4m original Russian's Lubitel, without any increase in displacement. The body is now absolutely simmetrical and made from Poliethylene instead of Bakelite The hinged door is removable "à la" Mamiya C330 as is also the finder hood. an enomous achivement. a complete line of accessories (in prototype satege is planned) see at http://www.novacon.com.br/lubi.htm http://www.novacon.com.br/lubip2.htm and the wide angle version at: http://www.novacon.com.br/lubip3.htm Regards LP
