Hi,

FYI, I have a Kiev 3 with a B prefix, s/n 542683, and two Kiev 3 with A prefix s/n 548217, and 551036. I can't find any difference between them.??

Hi folks,

I do not know if this may help:
I have a Kiev III with the "A" : A 511347.
AND the setting knob is engraved in DIN (not Gost)

Regards,
Michel.

Dear Alain,

we have discussed about "A" prefix in our previous topics, but the situation is still blurred. A lot of Kiev-3 cameras from period 1951-1955 comes with "A" prefix. Very few of them came with Cyrillic "B" in 1954. Beside this, even some of Kiev-3A had "A" markings in 1956 only. But I personally never met Kiev-2 or Kiev-2A with such markings ... Our forum friend from UK said that all his Kiev cameras, starting from 1948 has "A" prefixes (!!?) So how to find the sense in such rebus, i don't know ...

Regards,
Aidas
