Posted - Sep 25 2011 : 2:42:46 PM Jacques, you are right, there were horizontal pieces of leather to maintain the straps on the camera bags for the first FEDs (1a/b). This leather bag seems not to be one of them.

Posted - Sep 24 2011 : 04:51:13 AM It's a "c" made in 1938. Perhaps the first owner specially asked for this lens? BTW, what is the serial number of the lens?

Posted - Sep 23 2011 : 3:25:54 PM Martti,
it is NOT a soviet leather case, it is a case from foreign manufacturer. There was no FED/Zorki/etc. camera case in the Soviet Union with the horizontal straps.

Posted - Sep 23 2011 : 2:49:12 PM I'm stupid. By your picture, it's a c, not a Berdsk...

Posted - Sep 23 2011 : 2:06:03 PM I agree with Ulrich. The nose was probably put later. Unless your "S" was a very late one, a Berdsk in the 18xxxx. It seems that some of them were originally mounted with Zeiss lenses.

Posted - Sep 23 2011 : 10:43:17 AM Maybe the snout is not original? The seams around it look selfmade :-)
