The post war Contax may be somewhat more elegant , but is both more expensive with a similar cost to repair etc . A 1950s Kiev can economically be repaired / CLA by OLeg providing years of sterling service . Many have confirmed that an early Kiev is the equal of a Contax . My sole Kiev IIa was £60 , virtually mint . Even my CLA 1951 KII [ later lens ] was just £140 which is silly price for the quality of this kind .
