Hi,

I'm new to this forum, but was referred to it after asking a few questions about a mysterious Kiev/Arsenal hood which I have come across. It seems to have the same type of text as the Kiev 11 Prototype listed, along with the Kiev-66 (prototype Kiev-6c listed in 1200 Cameras) and the pre-1972 Kiev 6C cameras. It fits the Vega 12b lens and I was wondering if this was a kit hood or something a little rarer, being as I have never seen one before. Here are a couple of images of the hood.

Thanks for any input!

-Andrew

Hood is not rare, but it is not common ether.
I believe that it came with Kiev 10 and Kiev 15.
Hood is often lost because there are no provision how to store it comfortably near the camera, and Kiev ever ready case has no room to keep it on the lens.

This hood is not rare. I have 3 of them.
