Hi,

A Chinese collector found this Kiev-4. Is it the earliest Kiev-4 so far all over the world?

Cheers,

Zhang

Very interesting camera, but it is strange for me to see the 3-digit camera number (023).
There were produced about 9.000 Kiev-4 cameras in 1957 and I thought, they all had to have a 4-digit s/n with zeros,
for example 570023.
All first Kiev-4 cameras had a stand-foot, do you camera has one? Could you post more photos please?

Regards, Alexander

Hi Alexander,

This camera is not mine, but I will see if I can find more images. Aidas mentioned such cameras on his site that there are 5 digits s/n Kiev-4s and his 6 digits early Kiev-4 looks exactly like this one.

Cheers,

Zhang

Hi Vlad,

Thanks for your input. I think we need to see at least one more such cameras for authenticity.
