Saw this on molotok. An early combination of a Zorki-1 #36107 domestic logo with an Jupiter-8 #5006081 with an original big cup leather case.

Little bit more to this story this time with a Jupiter-3 #5001860 and a Zorki-1 #31741 with the same kind of leather case.

Alexander,
I only wanted to show you that there were original combinations of Zorki-1 and Jupiter-8. And sovietcams is not the wisdom of photography, same as other websites and books where mistakes and fakes can be found. I appreciate the effort sovietcams and all the other sources made, but they can't be complete in every detail.
Thanks Lenny

Lenny,
OK, you are right, but according to sovietcams these cameras were produced since 1952 and your camera is from about 1950, the s/n is too low. From this year comes rigid Industar-22, it seems for me to be more truthful.
I will try to get more information and post it here.

Regards, Alexander

Hi Alexander,

you could be right, but this Jupiter-8 is from 1950 and match the Zorki-1 in time. I know only about one Zorki-3 with a Jupiter-8 #50xxxxx, saw it on photohistory.ru, it is a very early Zorki-3 maybe around #00200 with the lens #5007502. So I think this earlier Jupiter here #5006081 might really belong to this Zorki-1.

Thanks Lenny

Lenny,

I think, this case is form Zorki with Industar-22 rigid. I also have such one in set.
So far as I know Zorki (or Zorki-1) was never produced with Jupiter-8, the lens came with Zorki-3.

Regards, Alexander
