Posted - Feb 09 2017 : 05:46:55 AM I have recently acquired some very interesting equimpent for calibrating and checking lenses and rangefinders. There are nor factory signs on any of them, however I think that they might have been made in Panevežys precision mechanics factory. КЮ-136 is pretty simple, its used for checking the focusing of lenses, imitating various distances.

Posted - Feb 09 2017 : 09:51:13 AM It's quite simple, you choose one of the positions, for example 4 meters, and focus the lens so the pattern is clearly visible, if everything is okay the lens should be exacly 4m position. Same results should be achieved in other positions 1.5 3 4 meters and infinity.

Posted - Feb 09 2017 : 06:22:03 AM УКЮ 255 is the oldest one and judging from the serial number from 1957. It is used for testing rangefinder cameras, possibly only kiev ones. It also has some other functions possibly related to aperature of the lens. The last picture is the view through the viewfinder.
Posted - Feb 09 2017 : 06:08:34 AM Another device that has something to do with lenses is ЮТ-376, it has two possitions that produce different patterns, it also has a transformer box attached that is not included with КЮ-136. ANy information about this device is welcome.
Posted - Feb 09 2017 : 05:53:54 AM The second ones purpose is also pretty clear. ПТ-611 is used for checking shutter performance of Saliut cameras. Cables that I dont have in pictures hook probably hook up to an oscilloscope.
