Posted - Jun 02 2017 : 2:29:05 PM You could try sovetskoe_foto (if that works), january and february 1933. Already on USSRphoto, thanks to Bill Parkinson: http://ussrphoto.com/wiki/default.asp?WikiCatID=38&ParentID=4&ContentID=269&Item=Proletarskoe+Foto+1933+%2F+First+FED+Camera
I have in memory at least another photo showing the camera from the left.

For the moment, no "living" original Fed has been seen, only some photos taken in 1933. And of course several fakes. Probably some of them are in safes...
Jacques.
I saw one photo of the FED. Do you have a link where I can see more ? |

Nevertheless it would be gr8 (forgive me this abbreviation but I love it) to see photo of FED which is copy of Leica IA.

Posted - May 31 2017 : 1:01:55 PM Sorry that was a mistake from me, I have understood something wrong of what altix told me. Maybe I was a bit confused after drinking some beer ;-)
To be more precice: I have not seen a picture of a FED with serial 23, only the one from Ilya. We also talked about early Kievs from 1947, so I have mixed up something.

Amitiés to you, Ilya. Jacques.
Can I add: it's the first earliest Fed I see with an Elmar lens. The rumour had told it, you show it. Thanks, Ilya. |
