Hello everyone,

This must be a rare lens. It is not mentioned in Princelle's book, and there is little information on the web. The few examples I saw were made in 1992-93 with a s/n no more than 3 digits. It focust down to less than 1.7m, and the image quality is very good for a mirror lens. How often do yo see such a lens?

Cheers,

Kievuser

Hi my friends,

Many thanks for your not so prompt reply.:) But I remember that we have discussed it perhaps in another thread?

Cheers,

zhang

The name of the factory seems to be printed on the instructions for the lens as shown in the photo in our own WIKI, which I believe is from Zhang (Kievuser).

It appears that this logo is for the "Azovsky Optiko-Mechanical Zavod" (AOMZ ?).

In fact, if you GOOGLE the name of this factory you will find web pages about them.

Regards, Bill

Notice the manufacture symbol. I know of no other lenses with this symbol. Very unique!

Never seen that one before I presume its a K mount? Maybe its the pre series for the Rubinar? Good to see things like this

Samsung GX-10,too many Russian Lenses, A lot of Zenits, an Almaz 103 a few Yashica, and finally a Minox35GT

I bought this lens recetly.
Intesting compact lens.
testing on an EOS 5D II, it appear not so good as a Rubinar , for example.
But who can say , if setting on filmm camera ?

I like mine, small size, nice macro. I have never found any info on this lens.
