As written sometimes ago I have received a Leica fake based on an early FED 1. As it seems it's made of the very rare PE0175 from Aidas site, because it has the Leica type finder window but still an accessory shoe. Also because of the lens number (8759) it fits good in the PE0175 category.
And it looks nice because it has no swastika or stupid Nazi engravings and it's not made "golden" :-)

Here are some pictures:

Lens number:

More numbers witten on the shutter, a date (15.VI)? And a 1 and 2 on top of each other:

A number scratched on the lens inside (509VI5)?

Unusable place of the infinity sign on the lens:

And the camera itself (note the missing serial number, that's really odd!):

Alfa, it's a screw from a Zorki :-)

Jacques, very interesting that you have a brother of mine. I like much, that it is really very well made.

Really a splendid conversion. Congratulations, Ulrich.
No doubt that 15/VI is a date: there is the same on all the prewar Feds. The year should be 1935.

My s/n 8528 seems the brother of yours. Same vulcanite, it has too an accessory shoe, and the lens is quite the same (half turn s/n 8999). As for the internal engraving: 1x/VI: the exact date is not completely readable. Instead of your 1 inside 2, I have a "4". Probably the marking of a worker.

Amitiés. Jacques.

Exactely the right screw on the back.
It seems to me the screw is from Leica.

Thanks :-) I think you mean the right screw on the back? I have replaced it because the one in there was damaged. But I will look for a FED screw in my screw box. The camera case is an original one from a Leica.

Beautiful camera, really.
I think only one screw is not original, I guess it comes from Zorki.
But condition is very good.
What about a camera case ?
