Sure it's a fake made in our days. It was sold once but reposted some days ago. The seller refuse to sell it for $100.- (that's my price for such fakes) so it will stay online for some more weeks I guess. The shipping from Russian Federation is with $35.- too high I think. I usually pay less than $20.- for that.
Best wishes - Guido

Posted - Jul 14 2019 : 3:02:46 PM Hello Derek
Take a look at eBay (actual auctions): FED-Zorki 1948: 600 Euro, FED-Zorki 1949: 850 Euro (both in not so good condition), an unknown (in this case faked) FED-Zorki 1949 "Export" ... much more! Or this FED-1a offered for long time there: 3000 Euro, or that TSVVS #7 offered for years: 10000 US$, now "only" 7000 US$ (not clear if faked or not).
Rare cameras are investments in our days. On former Westlicht Auctions some of them (very rare Leicas and so) are sold for more than an half of a million Euros. This are not collector prices but financial transactions like investments in art.
Best wishes - Guido

Posted - Jul 07 2019 : 2:30:02 PM Probably we all saw that fake... Some were made to improve the original series: I have some Fed 1 in that case. Others only to make (not really much) money. It seems the reason here...
