Posted - Mar 03 2021 : 10:15:10 AM Personally I am a fan of Polish, Czech and Hungarian cameras too. But that doesn't mean I think we should expand the scope of this forum. I think its usefulness lies in having access to real experts in FSU cameras, which would be diluted by broadening the scope. And anyway, FSU cameras are my first love...
I'm quite new here, and I admit I don't post very much, but I don't do facebook and have always got answers posted to my questions here prompty and with more information than I expected. So as far as I am concerned, keep it up!

Posted - Mar 03 2021 : 09:58:32 AM Jacques and Luiz,
Most collectors I know now are using social media platforms, it's true for any forum out there, I don't think expanding the topic will make a difference, this forum/site as I'm told is still an invaluable resource since all the information is archived and is searchable by google. There is a lot more activity in Facebook groups but information is lost and I see the same question is being asked over and over again.
I think this forum still serves its purpose although it's not very active as it was in previous years, it's just a sign of the times.. I am guilty of this myself, posting to social media more, because it's easier and more exposure. I should definitely try to post more interesting things here soon!
Best regards, Vlad |

Posted - Mar 03 2021 : 09:18:46 AM You are completely right, Luiz. But don't forget that most of us don't have an encyclopedic point of view about photography, like you... As for me, I do what I can, with what I know, and with what I own. I do with my passions, and I am unable to write about a camera I don't have in hand.
Too many "I"? Yes! But why isn't everyone trying to do the same? No more passionate guys about FSU cameras? Or perhaps these younger people prefer other forms of expression, more fast and easy? Or should we officially expand the subjects of topics to countries (DDR?) or brands which are in relation with FSU cameras? That's a question for Vlad!
I have done what I could to catch your ball, Luiz!

Unhappyly I feel a certain general loss of interest among members of this forum, at least in the two past years. We, the most present writers of chatsshall begin a study proposal for widening new people registration and more matters to be discussed. The ball is launched -C'est jetté La pelote- regards LP |

Posted - Feb 25 2021 : 1:03:39 PM Thanks Vlad for the notice. I want to tell you that the five first volumes goes from the first documents telling about possibility of taking a photograph in China near 2400 years ago ang pre-historic observations from the first men of the caves. From the second to the fifth volume we take a tour on all known alternative fisico-chemical processes going to the explanation ot the digital basis and principles. From the sixth to the nineth we get the colour altenative processes and stereoscopic moods From the tenth to the end we submit great cameras that introduced new technics and show them internally exposing how them works every volume can be downloaded and freely archived.
Good readings
Regards to all LP
