Posted - May 28 2023 : 08:46:16 AM Arrived yesterday Very clean condition, including nice rangefinder contrast and clear viewfinder Slow speeds sticking under 1/8-1/4. Please see the pics
Posted - Jun 03 2023 : 04:05:22 AM Looks very genuine if you compare the most important parts to a Leica IIIa and a Zorki 3.
A very nice find!

Posted - May 28 2023 : 12:05:58 PM I add that the speed box is made of white metal. The transition between brass and iron occurs at s/n c. 11xxxx. That, and other details, lean towards the 1d. The lens is one of the last we know.
Really, a very lucky find!

Posted - May 28 2023 : 10:34:30 AM Thanks, Fred! At first sight, I don't see anything wrong, by what I know. The two speed dial and the two springs seem correct. Perhaps all that is a bit too clean? Anyway, the Fed B is a very rare animal (only 40 samples by what is said), so, difficult to say for sure... Just a remark: the cover should be engraved with YCCP, not CCCP. With such a serial number (60229), it's a 1c. But we already have a listing of Fed NKVD with odd serial numbers...
Congratulations! Et amitiés. Jacques. PS: beautiful pictures.
