Posted - Feb 14 2008 : 10:42:54 PM It would be interesting what it cost to get it there. I had Kodak field camera what remind me Racurs it was so versatile, you can make anything with it. Lens plate and film plate can be moved independently in 3d. You can set up any experiments with lenses, with light. I hope Racurs can do the same? |

Posted - Feb 14 2008 : 10:30:35 PM I would say $200 to $300 to ship to USA if you're shipping full kit.

Posted - Feb 14 2008 : 10:23:01 PM I probably can not imagine how big and heavy it is then. Will it cost more then $100 to ship it to US? |

Posted - Feb 14 2008 : 09:14:54 AM I bought a Rakurs-672 at a very cheap price whilst I was working in Uzbekistan about nine years ago. It was a big beautiful camera with all the extras, but not really "my thing" As far as I know this camera is still in Uzbekistan, I left the camera behind when my work there came to an end. It would have several times what I had paid for it to ship it home.

Rakurs-672 is a truly soviet camera, while beeing produced since 1985. I have one in my collection, but to say the truth, I have opened the box only once and even forgot to take a picture for my website ... |

Posted - Feb 13 2008 : 11:23:06 PM I really don't know about that.. well Rakurs was made to replace FKD as a pavilion camera in 80s I think, did it go as far back as 1970s?? These go for around $300-$400 locally on Russian classified sites like this one:

And this one is like $240 with extra lenses.. Vlad. |

Posted - Feb 13 2008 : 10:47:28 PM From what I hear from my contacts in the old country, they are fairly freely available in Russia, but no one sells them here because it includes the tripod in the full set usually and the tripod is like 35 kilos. A pain to ship.
