I was talking with my Sister a few day ago and the subject of cameras came up (big surprise).... particularly FSU cameras (even bigger surprise)... She mentioned that she had gone "digital" and that she had an old Russian made camera. Well, it came in the mail today (biggest surprise!). It cleaned up nicely and works 100%. Yes, it does have "ZENIT E" silkscreened under the Kalimar label.... Anyway, I'm a lucky Brother!! Just wanted to brag about my Sister.....

When I was cleaning it up, I noticed a lot of "glue" residue around the name tag. My curiosity took over and, I justified taking the tag off to clean up the glue "mess".... I was hoping that there was a possibility that the Zenit name had been stamped but, no such luck. Further efforts to get the glue off just deterioated the silk screening so, I decided to put the tag back on with some two sided tape, before I ruined the ZENIT E silk screening. I see these from time to time but don't remember seeing the re-badged Lubitel..... Need to keep my eyes open for one.

Hi Frank, yes these seem to be quite abundant in the United States unlike the TLR100 model which is very hard to find most of the time.. and for some reason for a regular Lubitel-2 rebrand they sell above $100 every time I see those.
