a russian friend showed me a very expensive coinlike russian camera. about 5cm diameter.what type was it?

That's probably KGB Zvook you were looking at.. very very rare. I have a suspicion that the KGB Ring camera that was added into the catalog just now uses same one inside. I don't think anyone ever saw actual camera before, just the concealments that it came in.
