Hello!

I have just received my Zorki Zorki # 32870. Really fine and with a Kazan lens, so all is OK.
One question though. I am surprised to see that the rangefinder sensor has the same shape of a Fed one: a "tear drop".

We know that Fed-Zorki-s and Zorki 1a-s have this same sensor. So, when was the new one put? Is it possible to have a rough idea? If you have such early Zorki 1b-s, could you have a look at their sensors and tell me what?

Thanks.
Amicalement. Jacques.

Thanks, okynek.

So it seems that early Zorki 1s had a drop like sensor at least till c. 33xxx.
I must say I am surprised: I did think that this type of sensor had ceased after the 1a...

Amitiés. Jacques.

I have Zorky/Zorki s/n 31869 with drop-like sensor.
Lens is Krasnogorsk's Industar 22, s/n 7,117,248 - in a millions?

Sorry Jacques, for some reason I don't think a lot of people here have a lot of early Zorkis... I don't ... FEDs are predominant..

Thanks to you, Zoom!
I think that there are many collectors who can answer that question. Unless they are on holidays!

Amitiés. Jacques.

Hello,

One of my friends has the Zorki-Zorki # 32999 with a triangular tip of rangefinder. The same as my # 32870.
So the question is always the same. It seems that KMZ used the triangular tip long after the Fed-Zorki-s and the Zorki 1a-s. But up to which numbers? 4xxxx? 5xxxx? Do you have some Zorkis in those numbers? Could you check the shape of the tip?

Thanks. Cordialement. Jacques.

This camera could be under repair. And not a native spare parts could be used.

Hi Zoom,

The coupler or the tip of the leg of the rangefinder.
I hope it's better now...

Amitiés. Jacques.

You are talking about a sensors... What means? What is a "sensor" in a rangefinder film camera?

Hello,

Nobody to ask this question? Everybody is on holiday?
On the very interesting Jay's site, there are explanations about the different sorts of sensors, if necessary:
- first http://jay.fedka.com/index.htm
- then go to "ccomparing Fed and Zorki"

Thanks. Jacques.
