hi there, can anyone help me with my horizont? Im having problems with the film getting jammed and the shutter release button staying down after i clock it..

i have a roll of film jammed inside and im not sure if im just not rewinding the film properly. also, the film is hard to move between shots.

does anyone have a manual in english to email me? i just bought this camera and its nothing but trouble and i cant really return it.

LOL.. yea or that.. the film loaded incorrectly will do that I guess hehehe... both Horizon/Gorizont cameras that I own had some kind of problems from the get-go and I had to go through the repair process on both, so in my mind these cameras are very flaky to me in terms of mechanics (I'm sure they're not, just my bad luck), but once they work - they work beautifully! You can see some test shots I made with my Horizon 202 in the Photo gallery section of the forums.

And thanks for the compliment!

Best regards,
Vlad

hi vlad, thanks for your reply. I just realised I put the film in slightly wrong so the film was jammed but will test another roll to see if the shutter is ok. I could be worried for no reason.

This is a fantastic website by the way, I'm hooked!

Cheers,

Hi Nov,

I had similar issue with my Gorizont, turned out to be some kind of broken axle inside..I sent it to repair to fedka.com. Yuri's repairman did a good job on it. Just an option if you decide to repair it professionally...

The manual is here in Russian:

You can run it through Google translator, it does a decent job, at least it's a step in right direction..

Cheers,
Vlad
