Posted - Aug 19 2012 : 01:21:29 AM Due to being bedridden with my ongoing spinal issues, I unfortunately have been unable until now to get out to test my lovely FED 2 and Zorki-4. But I felt well enough last week to get up and outside, so I brought them along with me for some (long overdue) shooting. Yesterday I developed the film; my first home developing in 35 years! I had so much fun, and I must say the results pleasantly surprised me; I guess I just wasn't expecting such nice images from cameras made over a half century ago. And wow, that Sunny 16 rule really works!
All were taken a short distance from my home on Fogo Island, off the northeast coast of Newfoundland. I used Ilford Delta 100 Professional, developed in Ilfosol 3, then scanned the negatives with my new Epson V600. The first three images are from the FED 2 with an Industar 26 lens, and the last three from the Zorki-4 with an Industar 61.
I can hardly wait to get back outside with my trusty FSU's!

I, too, am very fond of my FED2. I bought it because I had never used a rangefinder and I couldn't afford a Leica. It has worked flawlessly and I am extremely pleased with it. Now if I can get my anniversary FED1 to work that well, I'll be happy!
Cheers, Kris.
